Seaport Enhanced

Rising Edge Technologies is pleased to have been selected as a prime contractor for the U.S. Navy's indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award contract Seaport Enhanced contract. Under this contract, Rising Edge will compete to fulfill service requirements solicited by Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Air Systems Command, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Naval Supply Systems Command, Military Sealift Command, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Strategic Systems Programs, and the Marine Corps. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, VA is the contracting activity for this program.

Core Capabilities: Rising Edge Technologies develops high performance data systems to fulfill the specialized needs of the defense and intelligence communities.  These systems range from small, man-portable wideband data recorders to large, multi-terabyte archival storage systems.  We combine our custom engineering skills with proven commercial technologies to deliver innovative, practical solutions to complex technical challenges.

We offer an array of data recorders to support the capture, playback, and analysis of high-speed electronic signals.  Our standard DR products range from a 2-drive lightweight portable unit to an 8-drive rackmount system.

Rising Edge also provides custom design and development services to customers with unique requirements.  From product customization to software applications and hardware modules to complete turn-key systems, our talented engineering staff delivers mission-critical solutions that exceed expectations. 

Rising Edge’s facilities include prototyping, testing, and manufacturing areas as well as classified work spaces.  We maintain a staff of cleared personnel capable of supporting both prime contract and sub-contract development activities.

Team Members: American Systems Corporation (ASC), a multifaceted information technology services organization, focuses on four primary areas of business in our support of government agencies, institutions, and commercial organizations. First, we provide systems engineering and technical services and prepare documentation to facilitate the design and integration of information technology applications into electronic data processing and information distribution systems, command and control systems, communication, sensor and surveillance systems, simulation trainer systems, and biometric and medical systems. Second, we provide specialized technical services, including requirements analysis; design, selection, and procurement of hardware and software from vendors; integration and installation of enterprise-wide computer networking solutions that include local area networks and wide area networks; packaging/cabinet integration; and asset management; as well as integration and installation of central office network switching modules for public networks. Third, our Applied Communications Concepts Division provides technical and engineering services for installation and implementation of cable plant distribution systems for high speed data, voice, and video applications, including Air Blown Fiber (ABF), conventional fiber, and Category 5 UTP cable, as well as installation in asbestos environments and classified/secure cable plant applications. Fourth, we apply information technology to training services, including development of interactive courseware, computer-based training, tele-training, multimedia applications, distance learning and web-based training.

QA Program: The quality of all Rising Edge Technologies' products and services is assured throughout the entire period of performance through compliance with the Quality Assurance (QA) Policies and Procedures as documented in the Program Management Plan (PMP).  The PMP describes how Rising Edge will organize and manage the resources required to successfully complete each task awarded.  The PMP is presented prior to the task kickoff meeting and is approved by the customer.
